University choices for Classics (mostly for Upper Sixth)

I am building up anecdotal evidence on how previous pupils have gone about applying to Universities for Classics, including such factors as why they chose particular courses and particular Universities. I am also hoping that I will be able to keep in contact with pupils who are going through the system so those who are about to go through it can learn productively from other people's experiences. Please tell everybody else about your experience of applying! Where are you applying to, for what course and why? What attracted you to that university and that course?
